From two of the most recognizable names in the world of Deep House, ‘Back Together’ marks the long friendship and musical collaboration between Atjazz (Martin Iveson) and Fred Everything (Frédéric Blais). Having met through the DIY circles in the late 90s in Nottingham, Martin & Fred have remain best friends since. Martin collaborated on Freds first album, ‘Under The Sun’ (20:20 Vision) and remixed his track ‘Mercyless’ on OM, which became a staple with Deep House DJs worldwide. Fred has remixed tracks for Atjazz’s now defunct label Mantis (Kimbu Kimra’s ‘Raise The Dead’ and Atjazz’s ‘Its Complete’) as well as a recent remix for Atjazz feat. Clyde ‘I Forgot You’.Earlier this year they got together at Martins studio in Derby to create this classic Deep House number. The parts were then taken to their respective studios to create their own versions. Freds mix has a more straight forward vibe to it while Martin takes things to the deep end, adding dub elements to the mix.
Written and produced by Martin Iveson & Frédéric Blais in Derby (UK) & San Francisco. C&P Lazy Days Recordings 2010.
