Fred Everything & Tortured Soul met in the summer of 2004 at the Montreal Jazz Festival,
after a performance from the band. They hit it off immediately and the band asked him to do a remix for their Remix album. As the project got shelved, we asked If we could put it out on Lazy Days. The original has this instant classic soul vibe that only Tortured Soul can bring. The Remixes brings in a new life to the song, changing the Key and adding an electronic disco vibe to it. Tortured Soul and Fred also collaborated on a song from his “Lost Together” album (Lying To You – Om Records). as Gilles Peterson once said : “You have to see these guys live!”. Who are we to argue!
